This week....

This week has been a little um…….CRAZY. It all started last week around this same time. We were cleaning up after dinner when David noticed that water was seeping up through our laminate floors. Weird! We tried to do some investigating but could not find the source of the water. The next day I called a plumber and our insurance. Turns out there was a leak in the wall and it was seeping up the floor in our master bathroom and our kitchen. Our insurance came out and gave us an estimate for ALL the flooring, baseboards, drywall and paint it would take to repair the outcome of a pin hole leak in the hot water pipe between two walls. Needless to say that while today they replaced the pipe and we finally have hot water to our kitchen we still have a lot of work ahead of us. We are so thankful for insurance though. Without them this would have been a pretty stressful situation but they deal with this everyday and knew just the right people to call. We have had some kind of professional here at least once a day. All the fans and humidifiers are out now and for the most part we are just in repair mode! New floors for the kitchen and bath plus new paint and some drywall repairs are still to come!
